Same here fat lama started sending me unsolicited texts after I listed to sell two new pairas of climbing shoes that were too small cos the company in spain that makes them are arseholes who do everything 2 sizes smaller than any other european shoes. Instead got some millenial gap headed yah asking if id like to rent my shoes out... rendering them impossible to sell I think not... now i get texts asking me to pay 25 quid to join a camera group in London that renta equipment out to each other. T

Text me a day after I'd listed audio equipment on Gumtree asking if they could rent it through Fat lama instead. Saw through it straight away but strung the texter along for a bit. At worst it's a fat lama employee cold calling and trying to get new custom. At worst it's a scam as fat lama demands your Google or Facebook info in order to register you. Best just avoid. If fat lama is a legit company that relies on the integrity of both renters and rentees to survive, then it's pretty ironic that
