He said he was from nationwide credit card, but didn't say which one wanted my post code and DOB and to confirm phone number plus land line also wanted to know if i had my credit card on me and the last 4 digits of my phone line banking number. I did not give any details of my cc or my phone line banking number, I i would suggest you don't either, if you have ring you bank.

This number called twice today and several times last week. We are not with Nationwide or NatWest. Didnβt answer anytime as blocked by call blocker after 2 rings. Thank goodness! This is sounds like a fishing expedition for personal details and I hope they catch and eat fish with tetrodotoxin eventually (look it up)

Please stop saying this is a scam, it is NOT A SCAM. This is Nationwide's genuine calling number. They call early in the morning and late at night in order to catch people outside of work hours. If you actually think it's a scam, you ask them for their employee ID and their name, then you call your bank on their normal customer service number and you confirm the person's details PLUS the phone number they called from. It's a call centre number, so that's probably why it won't go through to anyon

My Daughter received a call this morning from this number. As she was asleep, she was unavailable. They said to my Wife to ask her to call Nationwide ASAP. My Daughter has called Nationwide and it would appear they did not call her this morning as there is no record. So definitely scam. Be careful!
